Friends, Parties, Snow, Family & Cuteness

Life cruises along pretty quickly sometimes - and gets pretty busy!  Here's a quick recap of our world lately...

Cutie pie James came for a play date. We haven't seen this little monkey in a while so Kahu was very excited to hang out with his little kiwi cuz. James was such a great mate - running around after 'Koko' and sharing all the toys. What a fab lil kid :-)

One of the little people Maddie turned 3 and her party was at Gymboree. Great idea for a kiddies party with plenty of action for the little people - soooo stealing that idea for the next birthday!

Busy busy busy

Beautiful but cold mornings as winter kicks in. We're still waiting for the green light on moving back to our newly renovated home but were keeping busy.

Market visits mean snacks from local producers - yum! Sausage sandwich & banana smoothie anyone?

Play dates with the little people, including the BFF Lola, makes for a happy monkey (and they double as a way to wear him out for Loooooong afternoon naps!)

Visits to Sydney to see gorgeous friends and family top off a busy few weeks. Loving it when the cuz cooks up a tasty brekky after a few vinos the night before.

Hanging with my mates

After waking up to a seriously freezing day any thoughts of playing outside were squished so we met up with Leah & Claire and their little people Grace & Hugh for a play at Lollipops.

Of course being school holidays we weren't the only mums with that idea - very crowded. Still the little people had a blast.

After a couple of hours running ragged we headed off home after stopping
off at Toys'R'Us for a spot of car shopping (coz you can never have enough right?)

Home for sleep for Kahu & domestics for me. And it's cold enough to turn the gas heater on.

Brrrrrr - it can't be winter yet surely?

Rainy days

All effort to get out of the house this morning and go to the gym was thwarted by a slow start, playful child, crappy weather and general apathy. Much more fun playing My Potato Head with the monkey.

We finally got dressed in anticipation of heading out at some point. The little guy decided that wearing his new McQueen gumboots indoors was a clear fashion winner - thx Aunty Lu!

And Miss Lola came for a playdate and kept us entertained for the afternoon. That little princess realty does light up a room (and my little guy just adores her!!!!)

Rainy days aren't that bad when you're hanging with the little people.
